1. Who we are
SaccoWorks is operated by eLivecode Solutions Limited, Nairobi, Kenya. This policy explains how we handle personal data across our website and platform, in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
2. Data we collect
Website enquiries: name, email, phone and message. Platform data (processed on behalf of client Saccos): member records, contacts, KYC information, transactions and related operational data entered by the Sacco.
3. How we use data
To respond to enquiries and demos; to provide, support and improve the Service; to meet legal and regulatory obligations. Platform (member) data is processed only to deliver the Service to the client Sacco, which is the data controller.
4. Legal basis
We rely on consent (enquiries), performance of a contract (service delivery), and legal obligation where applicable.
5. Sharing & third parties
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers necessary to deliver the Service (e.g. hosting, Safaricom M-Pesa, SMS gateways, banks) and where required by law, under appropriate safeguards.
6. Security
We apply tenant isolation, role-based access control, encryption in transit (TLS), hashed credentials and audit logging. See our Security & Data-Protection overview for details.
7. Retention
We retain data for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. Client Saccos control retention of their member data and can request export or deletion per their agreement.
8. Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner. Member data-subject requests are directed to the relevant Sacco (the controller); we assist as processor.
